Is it just me or does punkbuster need an update?

It seems that today and saturday I can't stop getting killed in ways that are complete BS. I lose a fight upclose with the AK101 when the other guy has an M16, I'll have an enemy tank destroy my tank in one shot when I have full armor, and shoot at people, positivie I hit them, but I don't see the damage indicator go off. And this is all on server where I had a ping of 11, so don't tell me it was lag.

I've had similar things happen to me, In a server last night got hit by a russian tank when I was in an american tank full life and he killed me 1 shot.......

No doubt someone will just say get over it etc etc, but I do have to agree, there's definately something not quite right at the moment.

I play on the PTG server quite a bit, and usually it starts off fine (everything is "normal"). Then perhaps an hour or so later (when a few people have come and gone) strange things start to happen, including several suspicious one-hit kills.

Shame the recorder isn't enabled, I'd love to look back over several games and check out my opponents...

something is needed

friday night I went into a game with just one other player intending to just look for ester eggs and stuff ... well this guy was just killing me time after time, I began to realize he had to be cheating cause I would spawn in totaly differnet bases and imedeatly I would be getting arrtillery and so on... and it was a punkbuster, ranked, ect... the whole nine yards. it really ****ed me off.

I've been killed by one shot in the tank too, im sure its just luck because i've also killed a tank with one shot.

Hi spuddy, I play the [PTG] server and it was funny this morning I was being killed by the same guy in his APC against my full health APC with one shot and it happened more then once against the same guy.

The other day at karkand, I was going for the train CP and i was up on the road about 200m from the CP, and a MEC came around a corner, i m203'd him and he instantly revived right where he was, no medics around or anything. I killed him 2-3 times like this and he finally went away.

How come AA has updates and not BF2? I dont think that the punkbuster in these games work differently, or do they?

had one guy the other day that I would shoot 12 shots from the DAO into him at about....5 feet away. He would turn around and shoot me, I would die. This happened at least 5 times. So yea, punkbuster needs to be updated.

well at least it didnt count against your stats, because ranked servers cant start a game without 10 players.

You blame this on cheaters? It's well within the realm of possibility to beat someone with an M16 when they have the AK101, and guns have horrid accuracy so you can easily aim, shoot, and not get the damage indicator-because you missed! And I've heard for a long time that a tank can kill another tank in one hit if it's in the right place.

Also, ping might be a factor, as the people you're engaging might have had a high ping? (I know you said yours was 11)

Yeah, I know there is a sweet spot for the tank, but I've heard it's somewhere in the back. This guy shot me in the front. And yes, it is possible to beat an m16 with an AK at close range, but accuracy is virtually pointless at close range so the weapon with the most damage should win. It happens to me occasionally, but not as much as during this weekend.
