Why is it that some people's screenshots of BF2 have clear, sharp text and that my text is blurry? I have a 1280x1024 res monitor and i am running the game at 1280x1024. Shouldn't it be as clear and sharp as windows' text is?

When you take a screenshot in BF2 it saves to pictures, they are the same pictures just different formats. One of them is a .jpg and the other is a .png, the .png is the better quality one, but at the size it saves them at the picture is over 1meg. You need to use a resizing program and make the size of the image about half of what it was.
Or if you use Photoshop, open up the .png picture and then go File > Save for web. In there there is a drop down box click that and choose .jpg and turn the quality up to about 80 - 90. Then your pictures will be crisp and clear and only about 200kb.Comment

if you have an nVidia driver then go to the display settings and add 1280x960 resolution to your list of resolutions. also tell the driver to center the image in the monitor instead of scaling it. then go to the game and choose 1280x960 resolution. this will save you from getting those corrupted text messages in the in-game chat.
you can do the same with ATI cards I think, but I am not sure what the sequence of things is. it has been a long time since I tweaked the ATI card in my other PC.Comment
