I am trying to go back to win2k how from xp

I have yet to figure out why I seem to have a capped fps of 15.0 all the time as of the last month I have tried system restore. No luck it will not work...So I am sick of trying to fix it and not playing so I am trying to format and put in a new OS of win2000k ...never had a prob with it. I put in the disk and it will not boot from there.. it will not open while in xp because it is and older OS.. I have tried to open my Bios...by pressing f8 but that just askes what OS I want to boot from need to change the Bios to boot from cd any ideas?

Xp = Win2k (okay so technically there are small differences, but XP is based off of 2k). The only way is to re-format.

That's what I am trying to do...but I have to get in to the Bios to get it to boot from my win2000k disk to get to the point of formating

It usually says in the startup text, press DEL to enter BIOS or simila rwording. If it isn't DEL or F1 then look in manual for the proper key.
