wow! we basicly got the same setup, except i have an amd xp 2700+ hows sf+bf2 run? whats your average fps with your settings like that. and how long are your load times?

kpyrto, can you post the same weapons server from your bf2 directory? it seems that most of add on weapons are not in the pack directory itself.

weapon statistics from avaliable tools (which isn't a lot)

g36k: min-dev 0.2
zoom bonus: 0.75
standing/crouching/prone: 1.5/1.2/1.1
damage: 28

as you can see, this is already more accurate and powerful than any weapons in BF2.



FN SCAR H, however, has about the same accuracy (0.43), and generally equal to AK101's accuracy. However, it does far less damage (34).

those are the only two weapons available in folder for my analysis.

Actually, it seems like they have reduced the accuracy of the G-36K, as the min dev of the G-36C is .12

In terms of balance, I don't think we'll get a gun as accurate as the G-36C that does more than 25 damage. (Even though it has the shortest barrel out of all the G-36 family)

i have spoken with my local compusa / ebgames / gamestop and it's called marketing. us/canada is big so they have to give enough time for there to be enough in the channel so that every major store gets them.

Yes it looks like a rifle but is actually a carbine, and available only to the Spec ops KIT, and if you've already unlocked the even shorter-barrelled G-36C (Compact), it will be a hard sell to give up my best in game accuracy for a bit more damage.

If you want to compare apples to apples, use the FN 2000 to compare assault and the G-36E to compare medic rifles.


I venture a guess that the medic gun G-36E will be nearly identical in stats to the G-36K and most likely the best upgrade, as it will feature a min dev that is significantly lower than the other medic rifles...

from the pictures so far it looks like they used a lot of the old building models. i was hoping for some more interriors. room to room fighting in large building hall ways and stair ways would have been cool at night.
