More frequent lost connections lately?

Is anyone having trouble with losing their connection more often lately? I've been having trouble just in the last week, even after reinstalling
Windows (for reasons unrelated). Sometimes I'll drop a connection and it won't let me in to any other servers either until I either restart the game or reboot.

I am a huge computer dork and know how to do all the diagnostics. I keep everything up to date on my machine, so I'm not interested in suggestions as to what to do to fix my machine. I just want to know if anyone else has been noticing this or not.

I have been losing connections for a week or so now. It is annoying as heck. I usually can't get back into the server for a while unless I restart the game. But most times, I can get into another server. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

Ive had the lost connection issue not often but it is there, Ive noticed, and this is my perception right or wrong, that it happens more often around the time EA does server maintenance

only lost connection twice ever since I got BF2

they add more viruses to their system.

a have a few times but since the new patch i seem to lag climing ladders lol.

Im constantly suffering freezes with "There is a Problem With your Connection" message, usually for a second or so, If these last longer than 3 seconds i nearly always lose the connection to the server. I can mostly join back up again if i can remember the server name and the slot is still free.

I dont think my connection is at fault - its around a 2.2mbs ADSL so it shouldn't have troubles.

I rarely lose connection, but have had it happen 3-4 times in the past few days. I wonder if it has something to do with them tweaking the servers in anticipation of BF2SF being released?
