Q. about the HIND

Will it be able to transport troops? Has EA said anything about this? IRL the HIND can transport soldiers, so I was guessing it can carry 4 passengers, a gunner, and a pilot. Thoughts?

Ive never heard of that. After all the Huey gunship in bf vietnam didnt.

I have yet to see confirmed info about this, so to me it's a little suprising as the Apache definatly won't carry troops.

The Hind is both a troop transport and assault chopper, i think it can hold 6 and a pilot/co-pilot.

the apache will probly be stronger and the hinder will be a tad bit weaker

The reason why the Huey Gunship didn't carry any peeps was because they had the normal UH-1 for that. Why would you want to stick troops in a bullet magnet (Attack Helos)? The AH-64D won't carry troops because it can't, the thing doesn't even have skids!

I am glad the "other" side finally get's a Helo that can support the troops it's transporting and the peeps inside don't have to worry about being sniped!

The Hi-24D can carry 2 Crew + 8 Troops and all their gear.

If this follows the Desert Combat theme the hind will be like a flying tank. Slow to manouvre, but just as deadly on a strafe run. On the other hand, the apache will probably behave like the super cobra or the other bf2:mc gunships.

The Hind will not trasport troops.

Look in this thread at the pictures of him flying the HIND there are only 2 spots to sit.

Confirmed, no passengers in the HIND.

Well, im quite happy the pics pleased some, specially because im taking screenshots and posting about BF2 SF since 15:00. :-)
And ill be happy to post any specific screenshot anyone want tomorrow.

I know that, what I was stating (before we had confirmed info that the HIND was not going to carry troops.) was that it would be a little unbalancing of DICE/EA to make the HIND carry troops when they give us the Apache which we KNOW doesn't carry troops.

But we know now the HIND won't be carrying troops either.
