    Saving control settings for a reinstall

    can someone tell me what i have to do to save my keyboard/mouse/etc control settings? i have to reinstall BF2 and i dread going through all the controls for infantry/air/ground/etc all over again.

      You profile is in ..\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\000X\ X is 1,2,3...

      Look in folder, e.g. 0001 open profile.con and if that has your BF2 login nick and email that is your profile folder. The specific controls are in controls.con .

      Just save the entire folder and later create a new profile and retrieve your login, and whn that is created and logged in exit BF2. Then copy controls.con over in the new profile folder.

      Uninstallation asks if you want to keep your profile, so if you son't delete it during uninstall it will be there when you reinstall. I suggest to delete it and manually copy the parts back that you need.
