I just wish BF2 worked on its dynamic shadows better on models. It just ticks me off when I see a 40x40 gray-black pixels making up a shadow of an object.

My PC is a pile 'o junk comparitivly speaking.
It's a minor mirical that I can run BF2 at all... It's mostly my tweaking that holds it together.

On the bright side, the longer I procrastanate in upgrading, the larger my Pc budget grows and the costs come down.

P4 3.0, x800xl, 2gigs I play on all high 6xAA and no I don't lag on 32 player servers but on 64 players I do...but 64 player servers suck anyways.

I turned my x800 pro up to 4x AA and 16x AF and didnt lag at all.

And only 1 gig of ram to boot.

a 7800GTX would look better right

no, once u have BF2 on max settings (like i can do with my 6800GT), then getting a newer videocard is just going to give u more frames per second, not better graphics.

the limiting factor is ALWAYS the game.

The 7800GT/X DOES have better IQ than the 6800GT.

That's on my P4 3.4GHz, 2GB RAM and GeForce 7800GTX
I run on everything on highest, 1920x1440 resolution and AA on 4x

What video card do you have?

You probably need to update your drivers.
