Game Wont Launch

Having a problem with my BF2. I just installed it, went to play, double clicked on the desktop icon. The Logo Screen comes on, the screen turns black for a second, and then nothing. The game wont launch. I tried calling tech support, but after 27 minutes they said "we'll get back to you" and hung up. Great. If anyone can help it would be apreciated.

1024 MB PC3200 RAM
Athlon 64 3700+
Geforce 6800 GT
WinXP Pro SP2
SB Live!

I tried disabling fast write, playing from auto run, closing all programs, updating and downgrading video drivers, nothing worked so far

Does your system hang and you have to reboot or does it CTD (Crash to Desktop)?

Did you try deleting the folders inside this folder: ..\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\

This will delete your profiles and you go into Manage Accounts and Retrieve your login again, then you have your BF2 login but with a new default BF2 configuration.
