Still getting better and better at playing ?

When i startep playing BF2 i was a crappy player to say the least. I was new to online gaming alltogether and didnt have the slightest cue about how to stay alive on the field.

Especially now that BF2S.com has these graphs that show how you're developing in certain areas of the game, i've noticed how i'm still getting better at many things.

So do you feel that you're still getting better at some aspects of the game?

I still do what I like to do - run around taking easy kills i.e. not 'whoring'. Just noticing my K/D ratio goes up a little.
But still I find myself getting bored after 2 hrs online... maybe 21 yrs of age is a good time to stop playing or seriously cut down?

Ah well, you probably have a better graphics card than me...
Once I get my 7800GT I'll be hooked for 500 hrs too... Likely to happen - fack yeah

When I first started, I was relatively good at just playing as infantry, but I hadn't quite gotten a grip on the different classes. Once I became familiar with them, it was pretty straight forward.

The one thing I never could seem to do was the aircraft. I would always end up crashing and killing my team, but then I decided to just start up a LAN server, and practice by myself, and I'll tell ya, it makes all the difference in the world.

Yesterday was the first time I felt comfortable in both the helo and the jets in actual online combat. It's quite satisfying to swoop in on a cluster of enemy armor, drop a couple bombs, and watch the kills rack up.

rtgbs7k:I don't think that your being bored has anything to do with your age, unless you're just getting tired of games in general. As the thread starter mentioned, he is 25, and not getting tired of it. I'm 23, and it's just as fun as it always was. However, when I DO start getting bored of BF2, it's because I'm playing on a server full of Lone-Wolfers, and I can't seem to get anyone to cooperate. That kills the fun factor REAL fast. But that's why I try to stay in contact with people (through xfire) who worked very well as a team, because when that happens, it's an experience that's hard to beat.

Didn't have an option for it, but I am improving with flying jets...to the point that I am now rusty with the helicopter....gah!

I have been concentrating on getting these expert badges so much that I have neglected other kits and vehicles.

              Still lovin the game.

How do you get better in a game where most things are automated and the rest have random deviations that make shooting like a crap shoot rather than shooting a gun? There's a point, about 20 minute after jumping in game, you've attained the highest point on the learning curve. Beyond that, it's ego.

suppose it depends on how many hours you put in ? Some ppl have 1500+ hours, are thay at a point where they cant get any better ? Ive only got about 100 hours, and am trying stuff I haven't done before, like playing medic, so I am getting better and becoming a more "rounded" player.
