i propose (read: wish) that EA/DICE should seperate radio messages from chat messages and put them in seperate areas of the screen. or at the very least make the radio calls a different color from chat text (or remove radio text messages altogether). at the moment, the chat area gets filled up with nothing but radio messages and it's hard to see what someone else is typing because it gets flooded. typing is the only real way that you can communicate to non squad members and it's difficult to do so because most people ignore the chat area since it's always filled with useless radio messages.

it would be good to see them seperated. they could move the radio messages to the right side of the screen or something.

I agree completely. Having the game chat spammed with relatively useless messages like "Get ammo here! (said five times, of course)" and "Wait a sec, I'm all out of bandages" makes trying to communicate via chat text that much more pointless.

wtf do people gotta spam the same radio message 5 times in a row? i don't understand it... there needs to be a a small lag time between radio messages like CS also. anyway, my post was inspired by a game i had last night with a friend of mine. i joined a server he was on and i was trying to get in touch with him through the chat area for atleast two rounds and he never saw my messages.

The "get ammo here" message is an auto message when throwing ammo packs out, if you throw 5 you get the message 5 times nothing you can do about it.

More importantly, I think EA needs to implement a an "ignore" feature that would allow you to block any player's radio transmissions. There are too many games I play where someone is elected as a commander, and they spam the "affirmative/negative" radio calls over and over, and since there is no flooding protection for the commander, the rest of us are stuck hearing it.

You should at least have the option to make radio messages not show up as text in the message area.

Of course u can start a mutiny against the spamming commander... The downside is that you'll never get enough ppl to vote for it, so u just end up with EVEN MORE lines of text blocking your view :cry:

another downside is alot of servers disabled the mutiny/vote option.

Agreed - it would be great to have them seperate - like have 3-5 lines of requests (if you want) - then a few lines of chat under it - not taking up any more screen realestate than they do already.

I would like the option to toggle them off though.
