    Repair thief

What do you do when someone steals the vehicle your repairing?

i'm probrably going to get flamed for saying this but whenever someone steals "my" vehicle i usualy go up and put a mine in front and behind them

then when i go back to the spawn and there there and they get the vehicle i kill them again.

what i'm saying here is I really HATE repair thiefs, even more than plane whores and most anything else( besides tking to get a vehicle)

    so don't steal my wheels

I don't blame you, its annoying. Then again, look at 90% of the players in bf2...it doesn't surprise me really

yea I hate em..but I haven't really had problems with vehicles being stolen in this game. Since I began repairing away from teammates and if someone gets close I'll just hop in. If I got a gunner..I won't even bother repairing. I learned my lesson from having vehicles stolen playing bfv. The only time I've had a vehicle stolen is when a squad mate spawns on me and hops in. But after chewing them out on voip, I get it back.

Vehicle theifs are friggin annoying... Nothing worse than capping a flag, you drive your squad in they all jump out and take defensive positions around a flag and as the driver you switch to the gun and start panning for enemey movment, then all of a sudden some MORON who isnt in your squad jumps in and drives off leaving your squad strandard and you in a foul mood. This has been happening very often recently.

More so another annoying vehicle theif are the ones who you picked up on route to your destination to 'be nice' and 'help your team', and someone calls out for ammo or a medic so you stop, jump out toss em a pack and go to get back in your vehicle to find that its gone.... and you look around seeing it driving off into the distance all this while tryin to 'help the team'. This peeves me just as much.

So my new action is start a kick vote, if that dont work i hunt them down and ensure they TK me a couple times by locateing myself or entire squad in their path. I know this isnt the 'best' thing to do, but its just plain annoying, all it takes is half a brain cell to look around you, listen and see whats going on and realise that the vehicle your about to hijack is actually being used by a teammate for a purpose.

                But i could be wrong.

You are right. I hate it when people do that.

the problem here is communication. if you tell most people to come back and give you your vehicle, they will do it. unfortunately, BF2 is such a fast paced game and the chat function sucks balls + no voip for teammates = these kinds of situations.

                      Re: Repair thief

A lot of the time people don't know they're stealing vehicles. They see big pieces of killer candy and jump at it. I always look at my radar as I repair in case a teammate is nearby. The most embarassing thing that can happen is when an enemy steals it.

                        Re: Repair thief

95% of the time people who steals vehicles don“t even notice what they are doing, as bitvomit said this is a fast paced game.
A lonely vehicle in the middle of the battlefield is a treasured prize so it is you who must care for it...I know it is unfair but no one can know if u were driving the vehicle and stopped to help a team mate or you are finishing repairs.
I find more annoying the people that in the begining of the game take away all transports without waiting for people that want a lift.
like in the maps that require transportation to the main land with BlackHawks, they go away and all your team becomes stranded in the deck of a carrier.

What is more annoying is running back to repair the assets only to find the commander has dropped supplies on them just as you get in view. So annoying.

What I really don't like is the goobers who hop in and run you over. Then they wonder why you punish for TK'ing...

The only thing I care about is the person who hops in a blackhawk, or maybe an APC, and then takes off, ignoring the people asking for a ride. Chances are that if you're grabbing a vehicle and speeding off while ignoring your teammates, you're too much of a n00b to make a difference by yourself.

So don't be a prick. Give a bro a ride.
