someone in another thread mentioned that you can actually hit people on land with the essex minigun on oman so naturally i was curious and i decided to try it myself. i joined a random oman server today and started nailing the beach CP's. most of the time i didn't hit anything, but i did get quite a few hits and kill assists. after doing this for a whole round, one guy finally got annoyed and asked "who's the *** that's sniper aimbotting with the essex?" (LOL) and i said me. my ears then began to be overwhelmed with the incredibly catchy BF2 menu music. i love that theme :)

i would have loved to have seen the look on his face when he saw and heard those pwnasaurus rex essex rounds slamming his CP. ROTFL

Yea, I've tried that a couple of times too. Its good fun when you get stuck on the carrier with no vehicles for you.

It works best on the flag to your most left cuz ppl often tend to hide/spawn in the ruin there.

Ive only done it the once on Wake Island, but will give it another go on Gulf of Oman.

I have nailed several ppl in the AA station on Dalian plant from the essex (the left base, essex view)...

Once you see Missiles going after your friendly sky jockeys... you just adjusting your fire around the "tower" infront of the AA station....

oh... and remember kids.... theres bullet drop in this game

That was my post. Myself and a clanmate were blowing up the USMC arty on Oman, when all of the sudden we both died: xxxx[USSEssex]xxxxx

I was like WTF?? But yeah, he was spamming the chain gun towards the arty / river flag and managed to take both of us out..... Nice to see that it wasn't just some random wierdness..

Aim about halfway up the antenna tower and you can get the guy in the aa mount. Also, try shooting about halfway up the palm tree on Wake right after arty get's blown and you will more than likely get the specops dude who is now sitting in the aa mount.

did it once and destroyed an apc capping a flag lol i was bored sitting there so i shot at a white flag........:P

But what about the potential TK punishes!!!!! some bloke sees the laser like line of tracers going to a flag and thinks "ooo goody, its a divine sign of god telling me i'll get every badge and ribbon if i only follow the gold-lit path" PUNISH!

Is it worth the risk??
