i can't belive EA just left the whole sp campaign mode, i liked playing BF1942 sp sometimes. Now it's only instant action, and some of the better maps arn't there (kubra dam would be awesome in sp). And they only have 16p maps.Comment

i dont think its that bad actually. bf2 is an online based game...
if you have 56k, upgrade, and if you want a singleplayer game, go buy something elseComment

It is possible to have both a great single-player and excellent multiplayer. Take a look at most of Blizzard's games: Warcraft and StarCraft. The latter game is very old (as computer games go) but it still has a dedicated fanbase that still plays online. And, of course, the single-player campaign is quite the epic.
However, I do understand that Battlefield 2's focus was to be persistant character online play. In keeping with that goal, I doubt that Special Forces will have much more to offer (in terms of single player) than BF2.
But I sure as heck wouldn't mind if it did.Comment
