    5.11 drivers suck

    Is it just me or are the new ATI drivers a pile of cack. BF2 has always crashed now and again, but since i installed these new drivers i`m lucky to play for 10 min`s b4 it closes to windows.

    Should i re-install 5.10 or just wait till 5.12??

          I dunno about BF2, but I ditched my 5.11 drivers after I noticed they made Wings3d (3D modeling program) freeze up and refuse to function.

              5.11 work fine for me as well. Did you uninstall and clean the old drivers first? I have upgraded with every ATI release without any problems.

                  They are ok with BF2 but they suck for need for speed most wanted, the smoke looks all blocky and stuff.

                      NFS:MW is kinda crappy IMHO. I played the demo for about 20 seconds and wasn't impressed at all.

                          Apart from my temp. problems I haven't had any more problems with 5.11 infact probably less problems.

                              mine dosent seem to start a game click on the game and then it would close to the desktop, sucks too cuz it would have been my first time playing since 2.5 weeks

                                  before 5.11 my graphics were set a 'high' but at 800x600, ran flawless. After 5.11 I had to slide down to 'low.'

                                  I used the catalyst uninstaller app.

                                  Have anyone tweaked around with the new Catalyst control panel?

                                      I use 5.11 with regular control panel and ATI tray tools. I like that program better than the CCC bloatware. I haven't noticed much difference from the 5.8's I used before really. Runs ok in BF2 for me.. I'm using X800XT.

                                          is any one else getting a close to desktop right after you click on a game to join... its hard for me to pin point my error as i hadent played in like 3 weeks but hte only signifigant things i did was update ati drivers and install battlefront 2

                                              x2 i have never had any problems with the ati drivers and i update every month with the new ones.
