      A) You do not create a new account in SF

B.1) Points accumulated in SF apply to Some awards in BF2
      listen to http://futurenet.vo.llnwd.net/o2/pcg...9_20051031.mp3

B.2) however, to answer your question about unlocks - two points - first, there are no new unlocks in BF2:SF, but you can unlock your new BF2:SF weapons in vanilla BF2.

      See swedish interview: http://forum.eagames.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=9210
specifically the second question (which also verifies B.1)

      C) Yes - the patch is basically only adding BF2:SF weapon data to everybody's BF2. This is so BF2:SF players can use their 'unlocked' BF2:SF weapons in BF2 vanilla. I doubt it allows BF2:Vanilla players to use them.

      D) Any team, there are no Spetznaz weapons. The only new Russian weapon we know of is an RPG.

      E) No. See the interview listed above

      F) Very unlikely.

About the unlocks: It would be very unlikely if there wasnt new unlocks since the SAS Medic use G36K and SAS Special Ops use G36E.

Yeah that's true - but those aren't unlocks, they're the default weapons for that team. Check out the Swedish interview - he states flatly that there are no new unlocks in the expansion.

Many wonders how the ranking will separate itself from the original game, will it be split into two?
The ranking will be the same, we will use the same system, that you build up on your points, however with the expansion you will get special unlockable weapons and awards that others cannot get. Vi don't want to separate the playerbase, our goal is to keep the community as one instead of spliting it.
Doesent he say in that sentence that you will get special unlocks in SF?

Yes I wondered about that too but I believe he's referring to the ability to unlock BF2:SF weapons in BF2.

Basically we have one definitive statement "There are no new unlocks in BF2:SF" versus one interpretable statement "<within the old ranking system> you get special unlocks that no one else can get" - its safest to assume that there are no new unlocks. But if I'm wrong, I'll be very happy.

where did people get the idea that there are new unlocks specific to Special Forces?

Also, what maked them think they would get the advantage on others and be able to use them in Vanilla BF2?

If im not mistaken, it says no exclusive new unlocks, but you will be able to choose a default weapon from special forces to use in the Battlefield 2 maps.

I'm curious if there will be any increase in the hardware requirements for SF. I'm hoping that if I'm able to play BF2 ok(barely) then SF be fine too.

                          ::Sigh::

Does anyone actually READ the interviews the community is given.

No, you don't have to make a new account. Yes you use your current account, maintaining points. NO there are NO new unlock is BF2:SF, however default SF weapons will be backwards compatible.

They release these interviews for a reason you know . . .

Somtimes it gets boring and a little confusing reading 3 different reviews, all with different content. Which was right? Was that in an interview? Did i read that correct?
