Re: BF2:SF unlocks for BF2
Unfortunatly i know what you mean. People say the lack of variety and all to similar load outs for the SF teams is for fun and not realism, thats not the truth ea has yet again went half assed. The feature up for discussion seems like it would take considerable work therefore i deem it something out of EA\dices reach. Their craving for money definitly obstructs with their talent to make video games. This is all too common now a days. Alot of it has to do with the publisher and what constrictions it puts on the dev team. the problems mainly lie in the relationship and the publisher themselves. I am still extremely hesitant about picking SF up. i will most likely not pick it up.Comment

seems weird EA would make you pay $30 for the expansion then just give the weapons to everyone else. i dont see it happening.Comment

Re: BF2:SF unlocks for BF2
Hmm, I guess its a good way to advertise the expansion in the main game.
I would guess for example MP7 unlock for engineer and you click the same arrows as you do to switch to Jackhammer but press it another time to MP7 to just scroll through. Im not sure how that would work if the RPG was unlockable so it doesnt seem too likely.
Also there are kits with no new weapons, (sniper, Anti tank) and some with multiple, ( assault , spec op). So I guess some will have to be left out. I would imagin they would leave out the G36K seeing as there already is another version, and leave out the FN SCAR-H for the FN 2000. But who knows. It could all be completely different to what we thinkComment

In the interview EA said that the players who do not have the exp. pack will not be able to use the weapons. IMO thats a pretty good advertisement. (( Your playing and some teammate rolls through some enemies with a neat looking/sounding weapon youve never seen before... He ultimately dies and you hurry over to pick up his kit and check out this new weapon.... WTF!?!?!? you dont have the exp. pack .... you cant... Then the same learning voice we hear at the beginning of play says. "To use this weapon you must first install the special forces expansion pack" ))Originally posted by AsclepiusZseems weird EA would make you pay $30 for the expansion then just give the weapons to everyone else. i dont see it happening.Comment

Re: BF2:SF unlocks for BF2
if you pick it up from a fallen teammate it's likely that you can still use it in BF2.
why do you think the new patch is 280mb? because that contains all SF weapons.Comment
