Bf2 Goes Back To Windows Screen..........

I don't know if this question was already answered because I kept on looking if somebody already asked the same question, but I still want to know if you guys playing BF2 has the same problem like mine. Whenever I play the game online for a couple of hours, the game suddenly freezes and then goes back to the windows screen. There's no error messages whatsoever about my hardware when that happens, it just goes back to the windows screen with my desktop icons. All drivers are updated, and I also am using a firewall which already scanned the BF2 programs/files inorder to connect online with no hassle. I'm using Norton by the way. My CPU is maxing at 50C and the video card just below by 2C of my CPU when I'm playing the game.Your help is much appreciated.... :salute:

Have you any applications that are scheduled to run at specific interval or time?? When my defrag application kicks in and starts to run, I have noticed the same thing.

Have you tried using other firewall just to troubleshoot that it isn't Norton having one of its wierd moments?? E.g. try Sygate Personal Firewall.

You could also try testing your PC, e.g. test RAM with http://memtest.org and others to test rest of system, maybe try prime95 and/or HotCPU.
