Going off the videos from the IGN preview, if you love the city maps in BF2 your gonig to love BF2:SF even more!

yeah I think I will. it's only 30USD/whatever and it gives me new city maps and weapons that I like.

there's tanks too...check out the videos at IGN

edit: never gonna like night vision fighting though

I think it is due to variety. There seems to be enough different content here to satisfy an expansion and the price is fairly reasonable.

I'd say yes its worth getting; for the new maps, vehicles and the few gimmicky things like flashbangs and ziplines. I think its important to keep your expectations pretty level - from the design choices they made its clear that this will not be a great simulation of Special Forces missions - if thats what you're expecting you will be disappointed. If what you're looking for is an expansion of BF2 gameplay I think you'll be pretty happy. Its almost a shame because I think a true Special Forces variant in the BF2 engine would be pretty damned cool (Objective gameplay, limited respawn, weighted teams, insurgents without commander assets etc..)

You dont need to play it to know if you want it or not. Its basically exactly the same as BF2, just a whole load of new stuff, and it isnt full price. Just depends if the content tempts you or not.

I would say definately worth it, might not be exactly what you want but wake island was a dream when you got totally sick of all the current maps. I think you will miss out on alot if you dont get it.

What are you thinking? I'm definately getting Special Horses but that's mostly because most weeks a few of us go round a mates with our PC's and play online. 5 people in the same room and in the same server makes for some very enjoyable matches. Yummy yummy teamwork, how sweet you are.

I'm taking a wait and see approach. The track record for these 'expansions' is pretty crappy. I refer to RtR and SWoWWII for BF1942. I was really disappointed with RtR so I never did bother with the second expansion and from what I've heard, that was a wise choice.
