I dont know wtf is up with this. I was fine at like 4 o clock then when i start up BF2, i get the Welcome solder thing at the connection screen, but then no music in the back ground, weird so i join a server, still no loading music, i get into the game no SOUND at all!!!!!!!!!. Restart the computer try it again, same thing. Uninstall my sound drivers, reinstalle new ones, same thing. EVERything else works but BF2 now. X-FI sound card music edtion. I really dont feel like installing the hole game all over again. Any thoughts?

Re: SOund problum.
Yah. Reset the sound to "X-fi" then "high", hit save. Then exit the game. Then clear the cache in ...My Documents/Battlefield 2/mods/bf2/cache/
Then restart the game go into the Audio settings and select "Ultra High" and hit save.

Re: SOund problum.
Make sure you switched it too game mode . Entertainment mode only uses up to EAX 3 and defalts Bf2 sounds to software unless its in game mode . And creative has a bad habit of forgetting what setting you had on the last time you shut down . So now i find myself allways checking it before i go in game .

Re: SOund problum.
Ive had the same problem at this is what i did .
Whent in game an relized i was in entertainment mode . So i quit the game and turned on game mode and deleate the cache . Next i go back in game and set the sound setting to high or ultra . Then i exit the game and deleate the cache again. Then start the game up again and look to make sure it says X-fi high or ultra and your done . Btw when your system defalts to software your VOIP funtion turns back on . Since i personally use teamspeak i just turn off the VOIP setting . Hope that helped oh and remember
ALLWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR IN GAME MODE BEFORE YOU START A GAME . Or you have to go though the hassle of resetting everything

Re: SOund problum.
Did you try following my steps? I just installed my X-fi FPS and thats what I had to do to get it working. And like was said, make sure you're in Game Mode.
