First things first...

So, we're all excited for Battlefield 2: Special Forces. Word on the street is that it ships on the 22nd of November. That's great, but it means we got some time to kill until it arrives.

Now for the question: what is the first thing(s) you are going to do when you've got your hands on this long awaited expansion?

Here's what I'm looking forward to:
-Seeing if I can pull a Rambo/George of the Jungle on the zipline by shooting everything that moves before I smack into the wall.
-Watch in glee as my rounds now pierce through previously titanium dry-walls
-Wear my night vision everywhere; even to the shower
-Find out if the gas mask protects me from my team mates farts as well as tear gas
-Attempt to cut every zipline and grappling hook I see with my knife

Pretty much zoom and see what guns each kit has, test them out find my favorite, stick to it. As well as test out the vehicles as I probably wont get a chance straight away online. I may see if i can kill someone with the grapling hook or zipline.

Throw some flashbangs at peoples heads too.

Run around with the MG36. Or the SCAR. Dribble a bit. Then run around some more.


(btw, i don't think you can shoot while on zips)

Try the G36C and see if its worth unlocking... (heard that its a standard rifle there.. =))

No the standard rifle in Special Forces is the G36E. Its pretty similar to the "C" but is much longer. The "E" is more of an assault rifle while the "C" is a carbine. I'd be willing to imagine that the "E" is even more accurate than the "C" (if that is even possible).

I'm guessing he's suggesting that the penetration model has been adjusted but I've heard nothing about that.

Yup. That's is most certainly what I was suggesting. I found it kind of irritating that I couldn't shoot through dry-wall in BF2. I mean, a little bit of plaster and wood isn't going to stop a bullet.

As for shooting on zip lines, I watched the second gameplay footage on the Special Forces website, and I believe I saw the viewpoint soldier fire his weapon while in transit. Of course, the picture was so small it could have been something else.

I'm guessing he's suggesting that the penetration model has been adjusted but I've heard nothing about that.

I seem to remember hearing that the penetration would be adjusted, but I don't remember where. Could be just a rumor.
