Full Weapon List?

Yo guys went to the official BF2 SF website and although it gives all the weapons it repeats teh SCAR twice. Anyone know which sniper will be used in this game? Hope its not the M24 again It gives only one set of weapon list too does that mean there isn't a specified weapon list for a team? Is it all going to be generalised and not exclusive for a country?

Quick point: There are two variants of the SCAR - the SCAR-L and the SCAR-H (light and heavy) both in the real world and in the game.

There aren't many new guns in the expansion - and most of them were given to the SAS and SEALs. For the most part its the same old weapons - the Spetznaz (uhh spelling?) for example are almost exact copies of the MEC, as are the MEC special forces. The insurgents/rebels get a mix of china / mec weapons and the unguided RPG. As far as I know there are no new sniper rifles; I imagine the SAS/SEALs use the M24 while everybody else gets the SVD.

There also aren't any new unlockable weapons in the game - but you can 'unlock' the newer SF weapons for use in the regular game.

Anti tank - MP5
Assault - FN SCAR-H
Engineer - M11-87
Medic - M16A2
Sniper - M24
Spec Op - FN SCAR-L
Support - M249 SAW


SAS:

Anti tank - MP5
Assault - FN F2000
Engineer - MP7 (sub machine gun)
Medic - Unknown (possible to be a G36K variant or M16A2)
Sniper - M24
Spec Op - G36E
Support - MG36


All other Armies:

All other armies as far as I know have the MEC weapons, apart from the insurgent and rebels which have RPG's instead of Eryx's.

(yet in a video I saw a MEC special forces medic with a chinese AK-47. Hopefully they will jumble them up alittle to give rebels and insurgents older weapons and the actual special forces up to date weapons. ) < AK-47's being used on MEC special forces maps, kinda sucks really, them and the russians should be the only ones with AK-101's, yet the ones unlikely to have up to date weapons, do, and special forces have 58 yr old weapons.

Assault - FN SCAR-H (It says they have the M4/shotgun, on gamespot, but a picture shows different yet this may be changed as this gets no GL.)
Engineer - Unknown (Possible to be M11-87 again)
Medic - Unknown
Sniper - M24
Spec Op - FN SCAR-L
Support - M249 SAW


SAS:

Anti tank - Unknown (possible to be MP5)
Assault - FN F2000

Same as in BF2

Rebels
Probably a mix of Chinese and MEC, with some American thrown in for good measure. After all, we DID give Afghanistan arms when the Red Army invaded.

Insurgents
Flintlock rifles, given their kind of funding...

Spetznaz
Various AKs, and maybe an SKS or two. Since the MEC apparently bought all their weapons from Eastern Europe, there probably won't be much difference between these factions.

Any other thoughts?

I think it kinda sucks that 4 armies will have an almost identicle weapon loadout. But the weapon unlock thing may counter this, so you can pretty much use the SAS and SEAL weapons (if unlocked) for any army.

I think they are all fine but Rebels and Insurgents should use the Chinese AK-47's and GP-25's, as they are the older versions. Doesnt seem right to give them AK-101's. But other than what I stated there are no other weapons.

Where did you guys get the info that regular BF2 unlocks will be removed? That doesn't even make senese! Other than DAO-12 (where you go from a pea shooter to a crazy ass auto shotgun), the unlocks aren't even that different from the stock guns, so I don't see any reason to remove them.

I think it would've still been fun with teh weapons that I listed...if they balanced them out

Nobody said anything about removing any unlocks.

What is happening is the new weapons in Special Forces will be able to be unlocked in the game to be used in the Battlefield 2 maps of the game. As this cant be done without the new patch.



And yes the weapons arent exactly correct but they arent exactly wrong either, All of the weapons for each army may not exactly be the most used or weapon of choice, but they are all in their arsenal. And im pretty certain if there was a decent enough gun out there they may just get given one to use, if they are going to be better use with that weapon.

SAS should have the Sig Sauer P226 or a Browning HP, And SEALS yes mainly use the Stoner (SR-25) but who cares. If they have been seen in combat then there is no problem with them being there. They have to balance the kits and they cant make completely new weapons for each kit.

One thing that bothered me is that I dont even think SAS have british accents. :|:
