In-game Rank Bug?

I've encountered this a few times now but have never seen it mentioned here before... I'd go into a server and my rank would be Private (it really is Gunnery Sgt). I disconnect, check BFHQ, my rank's still there, I retry and I'm still a Private in the game. This lasts until the next round starts.

Pretty new bug or am I just blind and haven't noticed this posted here before?

It's been around since release.

I've always just disconnected, and reconnected. Some people I've talked to had to reboot the game.

Yeah I tried disconnecting/logging off but it didn't help until the next round started.

Hmm, ok, I guess I just got lucky and never experienced it until recently.

Does anyone know if any stats you get during that time still get recorded properly? Strangely enough, my unlocks were still available... hmm, Private with 6 unlocks!
