Noob needs speficif reality mod

I saw frosty's that came out in July and some other one. I've even read about project reality, or rather, visited their website where they discuss what will be covered when it is released.

What I need is simply this: A reality mod that does nothing other than changes the game so that I do not have to shoot the enemy 20 times before he falls down dead. I don't need phsyics changed or anything. That is all I need. Is there one out there, and if not, can someone tell me how to mod it myself?

I really doubt that it exists. It's too simple.

The mod I'm working on currently will have quite a few changes, but one of them we are thinking about doing is definately to have some changes in the damage system. After all body armor doesn't stop assult rifles.

You can read simple modding tutorails. What you're asking for isn't too hard, its just a matter of editing a few files. However this will obviously not work on standard servers as you need to have matched files so it will consequently be handled as a seperate mod.

Thank you sir. I did not know there would be server issues.
Shall I refrain from installing any realism mod. I don't want to have to install a good one and then only be able to use it on certain servers. Sorry for the noobish qeustions.

Well you will activate the mod in BF2, and then click on "same version only" and it should come up with only servers running that mod.

Project Reality has a pretty good following. My mod team works closely with them. You should be able to find a good amount of Project Reality servers out there. For the time being that is all you can do.

But yes, it will limit the servers.

And remember, there is no such thing as a dumb question.
