hi,

i now get this message

i updated the patch, and that seemed to solve first problem, but now, it goes to load the map, when i click on join game, or even before i get the chance i get this message

my version should be fine, official version, and i just updated patch

any suggestions anyone?

had already updated punkbuster but i think the patch hadnt installed properly even though it said it had

i reinstalled the patch and that seems to have sorted it

Loooks like a bad install. But thats just my thought. I can't compare mine with yours because I don't have a patch log (that I saw).

That much I gathered. I just can't figure out how to get those failed elements to update. Especially since all five versions return the same failed elements.

Actually your patchlog file doesn't have the usual errors associated with the 'modified contect error'. You have several 'wpt' errors but these refer to language files that you don't have installed so no problem there.

When did you update punkbuster? Before the patch or afterwards?

The simple answer is yes. I installed, played, got booted, tried the PB update, played, got booted, downloaded four more versions of the install, installed and have not updated pb since the first update. Should I try to update again?

I had loads of patch errors in mine, just got a buddy of mine(whose game patched fine) to copy his BF2 install folder and replaced all the files that had errors. Works fine now.
OK I guess if your able to do it!!!

Ok this is a solution to this problem.

Get a patch. Patch the game 3+ times.

me and my cousin had same problem, we both patched 3 times, and no more unmodified content errors.

I fixed the modified content error I got when trying to load SF. I had tried reinstalling patches but it still didnt work.

Went to add/remove program files
Removed SF
Removed BF

Reinstalled BF
Reinstalled SF
Patched using full 1.2
Added 1.2>1.21 incremental patch

(I would have done the 1.21 full but I already had the 1.2 full + new so I went with that one)

*note-i did not mess with the registry
*note-i did not mess around with my ram as some suggest
*note-could have saved my key binding file but wasnt worth the trouble

So even though it was a major pain in the ass it worked, had to reset key bindings but I am getting good at that, also had to reoptimize shaders but all in all still faster than screwing around with it forever. Plus, my BF2 seems to run even better now, although SF still loads PAINFULLY slow... I think it keeps optimizing shaders everytime, but so what I just wanted my new unlocks dont care about SF as a game.
