OK. But who is lasing for that blackhawk? Since the game doesnt have lasing/aiming capabilities the hellfires you see on the wings are useless and would simply ground out when they dont find a laser code to lock onto.
If what Im right in thinking what you are talking about then you could do it like the bombers w/ the co-pilot designating....

i quit for like a month then started playing again recently. i still only play for like an hour a few times a week.
i usually play until the game ****es me off or i start swearing and get kicked off the server, which usually lasts me about that hour each time i play, lol

realisticly? I dont think a BH variant (To include the hell Hawk) had the laser designator. I very well could be wrong on this.
But what could happen.... much like with Apache's, OH-58s and other Hellfire launching systems... Put in the right laser code. Someone - somewhere else (to include a guy on the ground with a designator) could lase the target and the missile could home in on the reflection. This is a real scenario.
They didnt implement this in the game at all. Nor do I see them doing it.
But I guess some coder somewhere could create something where the blackhawk could lase for itself... would simply be gamesmanship.
I'm just glad they took out the "full Blackhawk insta-caps every flag" retardedness. It was great when I was doing it, but sucked when it happened to my team. Cake and eat it, too... But I'm glad it's balanced for all. Now, everyone has to get out to make a flag cap faster.
As for what the BH is equipped with, 2 relatively constant-fire chainguns that shred through infantry and light vehicles is more than enough. If you wanted more balance, I'd say revert back to the days of the fixed M60. Heavy damage, but slower fire rate and less accuracy. People forget that the BH's guns are for support and suppression, not taking the whole battlefield.
A good fix would be to keep the helo guns completely ineffective against heavy armor, like tanks, but have a tank shell utterly demolish a helo in one shot. Don't let the concept fool you; it's not that easy. Any pilot that thinks his chainguns will own everything deserves the flames from his passengers if they get popped by a tank.

Because prior to the 1.03 patch, there was no way to fit all the wrenches, medic bags and ammo bags into that helicopter, they weighed it down too much. But they could probably do it now, because you can't flip a flag like that anymore and there aren't as many people trying to jam all that excess equipment into a helicopter anymore.

fly the ****ing attack helos then. the bh is used as a transport vehicle in this game, not the ****ing deathstar.

I'm just waiting for someone to put an MH60/L or K model DAP (defensive armed penetrator) into a game. I think that screenshot someone posted earlier was an attempt to portray one variation of a DAP that the developers messed with, but apparently abandoned.
The link below shows a DAP set up with just one of the many possible armament varitions. To make things easier on the pilot (he's already carrying a heavy load) they're most often set up with pairs of 2 different weapons on opposite sides of the aircraft to balance the load.
