    Please Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone please help me! I was bought BF2 but alas have yet been able to play it.
First after loading it on and clicking the shortcut the BF2 screen would appear and then my computer would reboot!
After some 'shouting' i realized that my geforce fx5200 was not listed as being up to the job,so i purchased and installed a Radeon 9600 pro 256MB.Tried the game again-same outcome-reboot.After reading some advice i'm pretty 'sure' i have upgraded my drivers for graphics, motherboard and sound card but same outcome.
    Please can anyone help me?

Did you reinstall BF2 *after* putting in the new card?

If not, then delete the contents of the following folder:

            ..\My Documents\Battlefield 2

That will delete all settings and cache but will NOT delete your accounts. It will ensure no old settings remain from your previous installation.

try something else maybe it helps. Go to Start-Run- Write dxdiag and the go to sound options at the top. There move the sound accelaration to basic and NOT in full. Try the game again it might help.

                        Re: Please Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!

Your BF2 Video settings should be set to low, all of them. If you already tried this then make sure that your card has off the antialiasing and anisotropic settings. I dont know much about Radeon Cards, I use Nvidia FX5600 and although it is not in games minimum requirments, the game plays fine. Offcourse i had crashes at the beggining but its all about finding the right settings. I did a lot of things (searched forums etc) to be able to have NO crash. Keep trying.

How much memory do you have? You need at least 512mb of ram to run BF2.
