I know. some scenes (eg. the matrix) are boring but i was primary looking for a chance to use these old scenes i made at beginning of this year.

@Keyelite: What song do you mean ? The Island ? If yes..: Steve Jablonsky - My name is lincoln (The Island OST) .. The FuzzyTV-Effect: Thats an error with the wmv9 codec. Normaly its a clear looping scene.. but with wmv-compression it looks like slow static pics

And yes, that song. The song is wayy to powerfull IMO, and usually whenever i hear a powerfull trailer song i know, or a song i know thats powerfull.. i expect alot from it (its just a thing i do, dont worry about it).. you were right when you used it, i just would have done things to make it even more emotional: tighter editing, camera angles etc..

and i was wondering why it was just pictures.. but this movie really does remind me of robot chicken..

Yeah, crap! But a lot better then divX/xVid compression. Atm. im enconding the file with h.264/AVC .. should be much better *hope* :o)

At the moment, i´m writing a big tutorial for making "easy" effects like the lightsabbers, or the energyball infront of the timemachine. But i started to write in german... so.. think you have to wait till im done with an english version :/

At first i thought you used the program "effects lab DV" which has all the light saber and special effects that you used in it..
but then you posted your programs you used and i was wrong
I believe there is a tutorial somewhere for effects lab DV, but im not sure for the other programs

"ALL" editing was done with Vegas 6.0. Just the special effects were made with some other tools.

You're clearly very skilled with the effects and tools, but holy hell was that a boring video.

Nothing happened.

Many of the sequences were way too long and never went anywhere. I was pretty bored throughout. The only bit I liked was the two MEC in the FAV, jiving to the music.

It's a nice effects showcase, but I think you should work toward something that's more substantial from a story, action and/or humor standpoint.
