I'm trying to buy Special Forces Via BF2 Official Page, but i'm getting this message:

EA seems to have alot of bugs in their games as well as their website. This happened to me when I was trying to sign up for customer service. Just let the page sit for a second, scroll around etc. and then click the button. It worked for me :P

I just found this:

Community Update - 11.14.05

This update is to inform you that there will be extended downtime tonight while performing a maintenance upgrade on BFHQ. In order to prepare for the launch of Battlefield 2: Special Forces, our weekly maintenance window is being extending this evening. Downtime for BFHQ will be from 12AM to 4AM PT. During this time you will not be able to login to play the game. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience and hope you understand.

That shouldn't affect the website, because BFHQ is actully Battlefield 2 accounts. Not EA accounts.

They must be laughing they're asses off, Idiots who are too excited to wait for the game to hit the shelves are actually downloading it even though they wont be able to play it or have any instruction book or even CD!

To be honest, the original BF2 didn't exactly come with a manual. :P It was more like a few vague pieces of paper telling you almost squat. Worst. Manual. Ever.

Some people want to download it so they can play it right away on the release date. :) Or so they don't have to pay for postage, wait for delivery, and so on. Not what I'm choosing to do, but it does have a point. No need to dole out insults.

Buy it from the shops, sorry to say EA are selling it at the same price as you can get it from the shops but with no box, no CD, no manual, WOW more profit for EA, sorry but If Im going to buy it im getting it from the shops.

Unless EA drop the price from there content delivery system, I would sooner give the money to the shop and get a manual, CD and Box for the same price.

I suppose it's good for people in europe that don't want to wait 3 days to buy it, but it's the same price as online shop with posting, so not really worth it, if you order from gamplay.co.uk they deliver a day early anyway.

And then X that by the amount of people that may buy it from the content delivery system and that 25-30 cents soon add up to a lot of dollars.

Plus I would sooner have the box etc to add to my collection of BF games.

I am willing to bet that most companys would go to great lengths to save 20-30 cents on their product production costs.

Even if you start small 100,000 cds @ 25 cents is $25,000. That is a huge savings, or at least part of a persons salary.

Oh yeah, do you guys honestly think that hosting humongous files is free? Most likely that 25-30 cents is used towards the maintanence of the server actually hosting the one gigabyte
