Blackhalk/Sky Cow evasive maneuvers

When loaded up to the brim with passengers in your Blackhalk/Sky Cow, it really is a bummer to get shot down.

Here is a really effective maneuver that will get you and your full load safely on the ground before you get shot down:

When that horrid missle lock becon is flashing and noising, do NOT swerve right or left. Instead fly straight up, then do a barrel role in the sky. If done properly, you will dodge the missle, set the pilot off track, and not crash. Also, when finished with the loop, you should end up close to the ground so you can drop off your passengers before the jet/attack chopper makes another run at you.

This takes practice, but when perfected, it is extremely effective and makes the Blackhalk/Sky Cow a lot more usefull in the field.

If you get a stinger lock just swerve down and it will miss.

I'm talking about a full on jet attack. Just a little something you can do.

oh. Usually when u swerve up their machine guns will kill you first.

Thanks for the tip, I will try it in LAN mode first, dont wanna collect all those possible T/K's. It sure beats the heck outta going OMG missle lock about a second before you go down in flames...Red

It is a good idea to test it out on LAN so, as redrider said, you dont pwn your own arse with tk's



You want to be higher in the air before you do the barrel roll. Test different altitudes until you find the right one.

you can also do sideways barrel rolls. although it's not really good for evading, most people will forget about you and think you're gonna crash anyway. you can also hover your BH and position it so your gunner can take out stingers. even if he can't get the stinger ***, most of the time the stinger missles will fly straight through the cabin(?) of the BH!

This is a great tip. I do it all the time. For the BH you need roughly 65 feet (- remember that is sea level. The land rises so adjust height acording to ground height) for a side "barrel" roll. You need 70 for a loop (thats a backflip). The loop doesn't work well for evasion of a jet, but does work for attack chopper evasion.

The barrel roll is very effective at dodging missiles, and putting off pilots. So nice post

Usually when you pull up while flying the chopper the crazy fighter pilot comes right into you and crashes :)

Actually if you pull up or dive down, its harder for the pilot to take out the heli because he will normaly want to avoid kama kazing you so he will turn off and make another pass. If you turn hard to left or right, your giving me your broad side and its all over. Veering left or right only works on sh^t pilots. All in all, dont fly a heli if there is a good pilot in the server cause your just gonna end up on his favorite victim list.

Is it true that the Airbus can take more hits than the Blackhawk?...or are they exactly the same?
