Rank Wont Move

ok i have 25000 points and am still stuck at Master Sergeant

the rank says u need 20000 for First Sergeant and

*Requirements for First Sergeant:
· Basic Knife
· Basic Pistol
· Basic Assault
· Basic Anti-Tank
· Basic Sniper
· Basic Spec Ops
· Basic Support
· Basic Engineer
· Basic Medic

i have all of these and it still wont give me my new rank.
any ideas?

You won't be able to, it's a bug, you'll never be able to get that rank now.

It's not a bug, you needed to have all the requirements before you hit 20,000 global. You can't earn it after the fact, you get one rank @ 20K w/ all the awards, the other rank w/o them. There is no extra unlock BTW. you have all but 1 unlock with either rank.

Master Sergeant is more of a combat Sergeant anyway, nobody wants to be the desk jockey.

It's not a bug, you needed to have all the requirements before you hit 20,000 global. You can't earn it after the fact, you get one rank @ 20K w/ all the awards, the other rank w/o them. There is no extra unlock BTW. you have all but 1 unlock with either rank.

Sorry to say, yes there is a bug out the preventing some with the acquired requirements to achieve first sgt. I was a victim of such bug, when I reached 20k, i had every basic badge needed for 1stSgt, however I achieved my basic and vet pistol at the same moment, and EA's sketchy system see's it as me never getting my basic pistol, so here I am at MasterSgt. But once you hit that particular rank, your stuck at it till the next rank, no switching between ranks of the same grade (mstSgt -> 1st Sgt, nor MstGunSgt -> SgtMaj)

I don't think thats right but if it is, i better go get my basic knife combat as i only have 1,500 points to go.

I knew about the glitch on pistol, his post implies that he's been trying (25,000 points now) and he can't get the rank so I assumed he passed 20K w/o them all.

It's clear that you need them before 20K, i think the glitch has been fixed????, I'm not sure. We're all right in our own way.

Actually the desk jockey involves you getting the combat badges, thus requiring you to be a more diverse combatant :p (aside from RL anyhow)

so i have to wait till Master Gunnery Sergeant at 50,000 or 2nd LT. at 200,000.

or am i stuck with this for the rest of my gaming life

you can still rank up it just means you can't get that version of the rank

this has been discussed before. basically you have to have all the badges before 20000. If you get the badges you need before reaching 50000 for the next rank, you still can be promoted to sgt major.
