Are there any good games out there?

Heyhey,

So I spent a good part of the afternoon poking around for a new game. Not because I'm unhappy with BF2, mostly because I was curious. With X-mas around the corner, I haven't found one game that seems interesting...besides SF:expansion...and I won't wait until x-mas.

I checked out F.E.A.R. but it looks like just another FPS á la Half-life., BattleFront II looked interested but the graphics look crappy. Civilization would probably cut into my marriage or BF2 habit (in that order).

No Command and Conquer games on the horizon....and I have to wait until 2006 for Ghost Recon....

Any suggestions....oh I have one....maybe go outside...bah....too cold and too warm to be able to play hockey...

Looks like you would like to play Civ IV but are scared it would cut into BFII. I can say thats not the case for me. BFII has such a high startup time that I usually hit up CIV IV when i got 20 minutes or so to play a game. CIV IV starts up real quick and you can so a lot in 20 minutes. Usally any time more then 20 minutes I'm loading up BF II. If you like CIV IV then you should also try out Pirates. Really simple to startup, simple to play, and very entertaining.

there are many good games out there. most of them are not new, though they may be new to you.

Well...I was thinking about Civilization...but I have an attention problem...I get bored quickly...so that would mean I would go to war quickly and probably get obliterated.

COD2...I liked the opening for COD, but it quickly deteriorated into a GunNRun or Spray and pray type game.

I like strategic games....so I might go for civilization...but I like action too....oh the decisions.

Hell, I'll even suggest some games that have already been out. I suggest at least trying the demos.

1. Deus Ex < are you kidding? that game is old and awfull
2. Theif I and II < nah but theif 3 was pretty decent
4. The Hitman series < only good on consoles
5. Mafia < not impressive
8. Pariah < played the demo, nothing special


As for the rest of those games reconmended by saureco, I have no idea, Black and white 2 looks good anyway, but i suggest you don't get warcraft as i hear it destroys your life lmao.
