For those of you with this amazing stick, what buttons are you mapping to control?

Re: Saitek X52 controls?
I have the X36 variant only for jets, but I use the following setup:
Trigger = machine guns
Main Thumb button = secondary weapon (bombs or missiles)
Pinky button = afterburners
Thumb button 1 = cockpit camera
Thumb button 2 = rear camera
Index finger button (above trigger) = flares
All other controls (throttle, change secondary weapons, etc) are from the keyboard. Good luck. -
Re: Saitek X52 controls?
I have one hat for loking around with mouse look, one for the different camera views, and I have buttons mapped for in game voice and one for TS. I even have one mapped for turning FRAPS on and off when I am shooting video.
I adapted a set of controls that air-rage sent to me. Once you get an initial setup it is easy to tell how it is configured.
One thing you can do it set your air stuff to default in game, and just write down what they are on the keyboard/mouse. Then go into the saitek profiler and put those default keys onto which buttons you want them to be. Once you have that done, save the config and apply it. Simple as that.
If you are still having trouble I can mail you my config file, just pm me with your email address. Then you can see how I set mine up if you want an example or to even use it.
Just looking at the profile does not do much because all my keys are remapped, so it will be hard to tell what each one is for just looking at the profile.
Your best bet is to write down the keys you want to map in game (what they are now without the joystick), then go into the profiler and assign those keys to what you want them to be.Comment
