My solution to the famus 'freeze problem'

Ok, it might not work for all of you, but if your at your witts end like I was, it seems SO FAR it has worked for me.

This is the 'punkbuster problem' which everyone has been having. Today, I bought some more RAM (512 more) this gave me 1 gig of RAM. I connect to Total BF2 server and walla, I was playing for 2 hours, then I posted this.

I have no reasoning behind the solution, i have no idea! It may reoccur! But i reckon it for SOME of you it might go a little like this?:

If you have in your opinion 'high' spec and you#ve put your setting on high or medium, update for more ram or lower your specs.

If you already have in your eye suffient RAM (remember this has so far worked for me) lower them anayway. I think this freeze problem is lag induced. Today when I connect to these servers I had absolutly no lag! map loaded straight away and what der ya know?...no freeze problem!

unless you have somthing obsene sitting on your desk, i'd try this!

    Good luck!

I might be wrong of course but I could not help put post my finding, and I'd love to help you all as you've helped me.

    Cheers

When I upgraded from 512 to 1GB of ram a while ago it made a world of difference. And I didn't have any punkbuster issues then. Doubling your ram will always help.

I have a voluptous maiden with no panties on, her legs wide open and a dirty look in her eye on my desk, thats pretty obscene.

As for the problem, i have a 3000xp 64, 1gig ddr400 and a 6800gt, and despite putting all vid settings on default, i still get The Freeze. Ive had these specs for ages, and never had any probs.

Mind you, i was able to play for hours yesterday on a modded server (pretty sure it wasnt a PB server tho) with no probs at all.
