doesnt let u switch FAST with right click.

Right click has the same detonator switch-glitch.


I'd just liek to know how people have worked around the glitch because there are people out there chucking and blowing c4 at will, not just with their last one.

I experienced similar issues and found switching it from the Right mouse button to the middle/scroll wheel button fixed this. I now use the right one for Forward and the Left one to Fire.

Probably it goes further if you run and jump then release method. Though I havent tested it.

My fav. place for C4 is at Karkand of course. My places are...
1) The fenced in area by the US spawn point to the right...where the pipes are...just put the C4 by the gap in the fence and when they run threw, blow it.
2) The steps leading up to the main road by the market...this is most effective when like the only flag(s) held by the other team are the market and train wreck. Anyway just toss the C4 at the top of the stairs and just lay down by the buidling across the street and just blow it when they get to the top.....I only do it here because they tend to fly in funny directions...i'll sit there forever and do it...soo hillarious watching them fly!

You can throw the C4 one at a time consistently with a little practice. Don't do the switching too fast, and ignore the fact that it shows another C4 pack in your hand when you first switch to the detonator. Just blow it. Practice a bit in single player. Run, Jump, Throw. Click...Click Click.

Maybe something i havent worked out yet but, how do u switch between C4 and the detonator before youve thrown all the C4's??

Sorry, I've been new before too... but you'd have to laugh at that one as well once you've been playing BF2 yourself quite a bit. I just can't help but imagine you'd have to use up ALL your charges before you can detonate them each time- bit overkill if you'd have to stick all 5 of them onto a tank before the mighty boom.

Ah, as with C4 throwing, I'd prefer to use them strategically (i.e: placing them in the phone booth at Karkand- by the hotel- usually a vehicle stops there to capture).

But I did make a really mad move on an APC once- he saw me, but I ran towards him, and took cover at a nearby building. He thought I was still there, but instead I'd flanked him already behind the cover- and placed a charge on him. So he drove forward... away from me, to deliver his final death blow to me- I saw that he moved a rather nice safe distance away from me- so I gleefully pressed the shiny red-button. Mmmm.... satisfying.

My favorite thing to do with C4 is sneak over to the enemy base and throw 1 C4 into the transport helicopter, run, hide and wait for people to get in and fly off. I usually wait until they are almost out of sight before *Click* BOOM. It kills everyone in the chopper then you get to watch the smoking chopper do donuts until it crashes. The first time I did it I couldn’t stop laughing... Also, if there is no one around when the chopper takes off, run to the helo spawn point, blow up the chopper (which is now in the air) and put 2 C4’s on the big “H” and run and hide again.. When the guys respawn and head back to wait for the chopper, which is still circling with no one in it, either blow them up while they are waiting, or wait until it spawns and ready to take off to blow them up again (my personal favorite)... I even got kicked once for doing this... ****ed me off for all of 5 minutes... Douche bags... What do they think Spec Ops is for?
