DO you miss the demo days of BF2?

I certainly do, no noobnaders, bunnyhopper, pronehoppers, spawnraping tank whores etc. etc. The golden day sof BF2 have passed imo. There's no point in fun to 90% of the BF2 gaming community that i see, only stats. All they care is their next badge, or next rank etc. I miss those golden days, now Karkand is the center for noobs and experts, not for the people in the middle. Experts are just good overall. Noobs just bunnyhop, pronehop, and noobnade. Let's all pray to whatever you want (for me, thats computer) that BF2:SF changes it all back to it's old fun nature.

Oh, and also, this forum was 300% better as if you wrote a thread, expect a reply in the next 30 seconds or less, now it's the next 30 minutes or less.

I agree, I dont play conquest anymore. More trouble than fun to me. I don't mind getting killed, I mind getting TK'ed for half my deaths. It's very frustrating. Coop gives me what i want, and with the teamwork.

Well, unless you mod the game, isn't the game only conquest/double conquest? (not much difference, only difference is how many flags needed to make enemy "bleed" tickets.) Oh, and BTW, outta curiousity, what temps do you get for your X850 with that arctic cooling, load and idle? I'm just curious to see what cooling solution i should adapt to overclock further.

I think the demo had less bugs than what we have now (especially the ones they've added). Although, I don't miss people doing nothing but camp the carrier...but then again, that was my squads goal when I was on MEC so I can't complain much about that because I was just as guilty sometimes. :p

My Idle looking at it now is 38/36c. I use the ATI tool to regulate the fan by temp. Max load at and hour is 58c. Believe it or not that a pretty conservative o/c. It went higher w/ the find max core/find max mem. But it is a fairly newer card so i turned it down. Clock as of now is 570/1200.

Well, since my case has GREAT (seriously great) airflow, my idle is around 31-33C, just dust gun the HSF for the card every month or so to keep it nice and cool. I only use stock cooling, my load is about 65C, so yours is good. As load temps are a TON more important than idle. BUt i still don't know how i have 31-33C as idle. With my old case, i had 43C idle, then i dust gunned it when i got a new case and it came all the way down to here, i learned my lesson, always get a case with good airflow (and good looks) and clean out HSF every month or so.

Seems like I've been fighting heat since i got my prescott. Not that my house is hot, but it's not cool either. I put another 120mm fan inside and added side fan on plexy. I puposely got my PS because it has 2 interior exhausts and adjustable exterior exhaust. The 120mm exhaust has a sensor that adjusts RPM's on temp(pretty cool). All the fans spin slow, so it's virtually silent, so my wife and i can sleep, LOL.

You got any pics of your case? I'm thinking of a new rig.

Not much to see, i got stock cooling on everything (not enough money to buy better cooling). I got a case with 2 intake fans, 55cfm and like 35-40cfm respectively, 120mm on front, and 90mm on side, those are intake, and one 78CFM one in the rear, along with a nice antec SP2.0 500watt psu. I also got lots of free room in case, pretty good cable arrangement. But i must agree, prescotts generate HEAT, they idle at like 35-40C at stock i'm pretty sure (you can check up on that) while mine, on stock cooling goes at 26-28C. Ever sincce dust gunning everything, and buying this great new case, everything got better. Before ambient was like 31C, now it's 21-23c (at idle of course) and cpu used to be at 34C idle.

Re: DO you miss the demo days of BF2?

BF2 is boring and every game feels just like the last.

The player base has a high percentage of kids, tkers, and down right
pathetic problem makers. Nothing but a bunch of morons chasing
each other around in the skies in jets, dropping bombs on anything that
moves below, and all of them killing each other to get the choppers or
                    jets when they spawn.

New cheats and hacks are popping up everywhere, which is normal for
any major title, but with EAs approach to SUPPORTING a game, you might
as well get used to them, because EA/Punkbuster arent going to do much
                    to prevent it.

The whole game was a waste of money, in my opinion. I wasted over
a hundred bucks on a unranked server for 2 months because nobody
would play on it due to EAs silly ass Ranked / Unranked Bullsh|t.

Unfinished game, bugs and exploits they still havent fixed that they
knew about since BEFORE the demo was released. The game was a total
joke. I took mine back to the store this morning, and demanded a refund
                    which I promptly received.

Expansion pack? Me ? Buy it ? OMFG. When hell freezes over.

If they dont have a patch out before the SF expansion comes out, I won't be buying it, nor will I ever! You can guarantee that the expansion will have the nametag bugs, etc also. Pffffftttt !! Screw that!

Yeah, but now the demo is stupid, even more noobnaders, i only play SP on the demo to use the unlocks hack. I agree with Ruhanga as well. Although noobnading has seeped down to the demo as well.
