Single Player in Special Forces?

I've looked around but seen no mention of a single player mode (vs. bots) in Special Forces. While I understand the focus of BF2 is online play, I got a lot of fun from the (admittedly very limited) single-player mode over the summer when I didn't have a net connection to my gaming PC. It helped me learn the maps, guns, style of play and so on, and it's fun to wipe the floor with bots. :laugh:

I'd be disappointed if it wasn't in SF. Doesn't anyone know if it is or not? Once again, over xmas I won't have a net connection to my comp and it would be nice to play it offline to get to grips with the new maps, guns etc. and to kill some bots. Not asking for much, just the simple 16-player SP mode that was in BF2.

I await the answer with anticipation. :p

they should of made it MP only because thats wat it is, game used for Online Gaming, LAN Areas and PArties and other stuff. but there will probably be SP in SF

I hope they let us have more options in single player mode, such as weapon unlocks, map size, and # of bots on map

Yes, but they've already gone to the trouble of making bots, so why not use them in the expansion, eh? :p

Hu.Z_of_PLA, are you sure? A source would be great!

The one thing really bothering me that makes me think there won't be is the grappling hook/zipline thing. I can't see the AI using them properly or at all, so Dice might decide to not bother adding bots to the maps..

i'd be very surprised if there wasn't a single player game.

Ea want too sell this game too as many people as possible, and the maps are already there its not hard to put a few bots in.

I'm sure there will be a single-player mode. They would have to label it otherwise they'd have some unhappy customers. They will probably have the bots use certain spots for using the zips etc.

On another note, it seems like ever since Battlefield 1942's success with online play, they have been chopping up single player.... You used to be able to select the ammount of bots you wanted etc now it's limited to 16.
