Delete Threads!
I've noticed lately how many threads are up on these forums.. i still find 5 week old ones which have been closed, why arent these get deleted?

Have you heard of "search". Without those older threads there wouldn't be a search data base. Alot of those closed threads will help others in the future. So the mods choose to leave them undeleted on purpose. I think its a good thing. -

Well this sucks. Threads "woken up" from a 5 week sleep are closed but if something was posted about a month ago exocet closes it saying "this has been said before"? What ever happen to closing threads because they linked to milacious sites or because they were inflammatory? Now it seems to revolve more around 1 moderator's personal definition of boring. Infact, I'd say this in a different thread but I know it would be locked instantly.
I say thank god they're not deleted, that would be even worse.Comment

puglous, when I say that this has been done before it is because the thread has no real direction. There are hundreds of "boycott ea/dice" threads or "is this a cheat?" threads. They've been discussed ad-nauseum and if they still need to be discussed then they can do it in an old thread.
Old threads that are resurrected aren't closed if there is meaningful discussion added to it.Comment
