With BF2:SF coming out will there new patches?

There will only be patches for BF2, not for the expansion. Just like in BF42.

Yes there will be new patches. For one reason, more programming means more bugs from Dice/EA. New content=more bugs to **** you off, DAMN C$~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they made you buy the expansion to get patches, I would foresee a huge anti-EA sentiment. (yeah, one exists now, but that would be the straw that broke the camels back)

It'll probably be released with the expansion, but will be available for download as well.

The patch will probably update certain little changes that come with BF2:SF, some new hard coded things... and of course a few fixes.... I wouldn't say to expect something too big of a release.

As one not normally given to complaining about EA, I hope we don't get into the same problem of compatability with the expansion, remember the first patch?

It would not surprise me if the SF pack (which I have pre-orderd) messes up BF2 completely. Pavlov's Dog... I am conditioned to expect failure form EA.

Hummm speaking of patches I seem to remember that EA stated they where adding an option to change clan tag (IE User name) as an option. Due to it not being changed I guess they changed there mind.

No, not going to buy SF. SF is to BF2 what Core Combat was to Planetside: proof that the developers released a product too soon. And why pay for more content from developers of bugs, crashes, and lag when you can get free content from mod teams that give .000745% of a sh*t about a real game?

EA is the devil, and DICE is it's pawn. We are the poor souls that give into its visceral seduction.

Oh, and I will never read into a game's potential based on its demo ever again.
