Has anyone solved the "Ping 109" issue yet?

I just upped my broadband connection to 1mb/128 and all my lowest pings are STILL 109 and even with those the games always lags at the most crucial times. F**k this is driving me f**king nuts! After doing many dozons of searches on the issue i have found no solutions and many other people with the exact same "109" problem. wtf is with this game?! I want so badly to enjoy it but instead i'm pulling my f**king hair out. Sorry for the potty mouth but i am ****ed off beyond comprehension.

I have no idea. my broadband is at 5/768. But i am going with ADSL 6.0/768 because i do not like the fact of sharing bandwidth with the entire town i live in. I would its your upstream is kinda low. Or maybe you have a firewall or spyware.

The amount of bandwidth you have has pretty much nothing to do with your ping. Ping = latency = time it takes to get to a remote computer and back. Bandwidth is the amount of data you can send at one time.

A good way to think of it is like roads:
Increasing your net from 512K to 1Mb doubles the width of the road, so more vehicles can travel along it. However they still travel at the same speed. To increase the speed you'd need to upgrade your connection type. If you were upgrading from DSL it'd be like going from a road to a bullet train.

The problem is on the end of the game. My firewall is configured properly and my system is clean & stable as a rock. I thought about my upload speed but imo 128 should be plenty for BF2. Also i think the 109 ping with so many users is a big hint that it's something to do with the game itself.

Are you talking about pings on the BF2 browser page or on the in-game score screen?

If you're talking about the browser...there is NO way that it is at all accurate so I recommend using a third party server browser like All-Seeing Eye to filter servers by ping.
