    Logitech vs. Saitek

Ok i know this has been posted many times. but i couldnt find any detailed comparision on Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and Saitek ST290 Pro. I read some reviews on other websites, someone say the logitech one has some durability problems, it stopped working after 2 months or so. I dont know much about ST290, so someone plz fill me in.

    Thanks.

P.S. plz dont flame, yes i know the "search" button.

First question: I've never found any point in using a joystick for BF2, even though I've owned and used plenty.

Yes, the few Logitech joysticks that I've purchased died on me in no less than 3 months. They're only good for their mice, which kick Razer's any day.

I currently own and use the Saitek Cyborg Evo for my flight sims. Affordable. Reliable. Durable.

i've never used any joysticks to fly. i've been using keyboard. it works ok for me. im trying to improve my air combat skills and heard alot of good pilots prefer joysticks. so im lookin for a decent one with an affordable price.

I still have and use a Saitek. It was back in the days when they first started coming out with USB only things. I mean, its used, some of the paint has flecked off but it still works like new. Saitek is good, simple, and durable. Logitech is great, but they make weird looking things. To contured and stuff.

No, wait, get the Logitech, it has a twist handle for the rudder controls.

Edit: Its really old. Not old-old, just that they aren't making them anymore. Its bronze colored if you must know.

I use the Logitech Freedom 2.4 cordless. This stick rocks! Have yet to have one problem. Been using it now for about 3 months and I am still on the same batteries. No gripes at all.

I use to use a KB and my Kensington mouse to fly with BF:42, Desert, and BF:V. I did use it for the first month or so when BF:2 came out. However, I find that the joystick, I get more accuracy.

how much is it? i suppose it's a little bit expensive due to being cordless.

My friend has the st290 pro and i have the extreme 3d pro. His handle is very loose and has no feedback now, it just moves without resistance. Mine feels smoother and has the realistic resistance.

I got a good refurbed logitech with force feedback off of ebay. Shipped to my house it only cost $12.99. I definately prefer the joystick over the keyboard/mouse. It takes a little while to get use to, but once you do it's buttah.
