i palmed one at a local CompUSA, but opted get a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro instead because of the price difference. i'd like to see a review for the Saitek X52, though.

got a final score of 9.6 out of 10. sounds good. only problems the reviewer experienced were with older games because they only support 4 axes, rather than whatever this joystick has. (something along those lines)

Consider this a rave review for the x-52. I looked up all kinds of reviews and even posted on here like you did asking for input before I went to buy one.

Simply put: best damn joystick I could ask for.

Previously I was using the logitech force feedback ...and had been using that for about 5 years. The motors started to give out and I had read good stuff about this stick.

It is worth the money - and I actually found it on sale at circuit city for $87 a month or two ago.

It is a solid stick - does not feel cheap in any way - awesome configs are possible, completely customizable and has taken my flying to a whole new level.

I'm not for sale...well at least not for any of you fellas out there - but the joystick would be a good second I can assure you of that! :P

FYI - if you do pick one up - the suction cups do a good job holding it in place - but it does have holes for permanent mounting.

I ended up adding some supports to my desk so that I could mount them permanently and lower them a bit so that I can kick back in my chair and fly in comfort. Check it out:
- oh yeah and I purchased the saitek backlit keyboard at the same time. Good combo. Put it this way - the keyboard was harder to get used to than the joystick. I was used to playing on an ergo board - going to flat is still a difference.

Well i have a saitek and it kicks ass, nothing wrong with it.

Everyone seems to say the logitech etreme 3d pro is the best one. I think I will get that.
