hopefully they will intergrate the bf2 stats with the sf stats and just add more ribbons and medals to get.

That sounds like the most logical approach. After all, there are images for 1st Lt. through 5 star general already in Vanilla BF2, so why not make them available through SF? (not a lot of work, but you'd think they'd use those)

but if there's new things to get. Maybe then I wouldn't want unlock the things that I've unlocked in bf2, maybe I want other things. Still, doesn't anyone know?

I highly doubt that unlocks earned in BF2 could be rolled over into SF. Think about it - they want you to earn your unlocks in SF - no free rides - heh.

All new kits in SF - so I don't even see that way how they would carry over.

Besides - I don't even know if there are unlocks in SF. I have not read any official announcements saying there are unlocks. I think it is all just open from the start and you just earn new ranks and badges.

don't know about the unlocks, but I do think the stats will be kept from BF2 , and the points earned in SF will be added to your older stats, it's still an expansion, not another game and some servers will run both mixed, meaning one round BF2 and after that one round SF .

I'd also like to know how us server admins are going to be affected. I saw a post somewhere else that servers are going to be able to run both BF2 and BF2-SF - not sure if they mean at the same time or what.
