Pretty simple question

Hey guys, i have installed a few of the mods and i really liked a lot of them. However, i think the game is damn near perfect as it is, i just think a few tweeks would make it better for me.

My question, what files/folders do i need to be looking to change the power of a weapon? I havent been able to find anything with any luck, all i've found to edit is the server settings. i tried installing the BF2 editor but that didnt really help me all that much. I havent modded games in YEARS... so its hard for me to jump right back in, lol. I've been spending all my time/money on my car LOL.

Anywho, any help for a newb would be great. thanks :)

I guess i should add that this would only be for me.. i dont play online or anything, just to make the experience more real for my single player games... BF2-Realism mod is pretty good, there's a couple things i would change, hence i was hoping to get some idea of what files i should edit to get the desired effect or how to go about changing things like ammunition power, accuracy when prone..etc. :)

All you need is a BF2 Editor. You can edit it there and then but I would consult one of the hardcore Modders in here before you make any changes to the BF2 mod folder as it could mess up your game...totally.
All you have to do is change a few numbers and stuff it shouldn't be hard then again, you don't have much/if any experience.
I'm sure if you got to know a modder well, and actually played online then you will understand if the accuracy was changed then it would affect the game alot and make it extreemly frustrating for the recipient of the bullet or the guy firing it all over the sky, also power, you would need to change recoil...which would affect accuracy and the cycle starts again :p
So, yer ask/add PM someone who knows what they are doing.

LOL good point... i have modded games before, just not like BF2. And many years ago.

I can edit files, i'm just not sure which ones to look in.

Also, The main thing i wanted to change was the snipers ammunition power, the hand held RPG power and the server # of bots... thats about it really. other than that the game is damn near perfect for me.

BF2_realism has these already taken care of, but i'd like to see the # of bots from 32 to around 20-24 with longer spawn times to make it seem a little more realistic.

Ideas? like i said, no major drastic changes, just basic stuff... sniper ammunition power was the most important to me.
