    Getting all your badges....

Okay this is kind of interesting and I am sure some of you are aware of this, however some of you may not be. There is a guy in my clan who has obtained almost all the combat badges in bf2. He is a very good pilot, that much I will give him credit for. But this is how he did it, he gets in a jet let's say as a sniper or medic or whatever, he flys around and piles up a bunch of kills, and is awarded combat badges for that particular class.

Personally I would rather earn my badges on the battlefield.....

just all the badges? basic? vet? or expert? it's easy to get all the basic badges, even all the expert combat badges are not hard to get. u just need enough playing time and 40 kills IAR.

Yep, he got them all just by piling up kills in a jet, like I said he is a very good pilot but after I heard that I lost some respect for him.

People have done this for all kinds of badges....got my vet. sniper badge (a kit I never play) by armor-whoring on Kubra Damn last night...now I can put that kit to bed :) Also got my air defense ribbon in the same round after switching to the Bradley and cruising around in it...did take out a couple helos, but infantry helped make up the 11 kills needed for the ribbon.

Its somewhat cheap, but if the guy likes to fly, why not change kits from round to round and earn something.

You actually get respect if someone gets all the badges based on class? Those badges only indicate that the player has used that class for a long time. What you should be impressed and respect are:

            Pistol Badges
            Knife Badges
            Explosive Badges
            First Aid/Resupply/Repair Badges
            Armor/Helicopter/Aircraft Badges

yeah, you can get your badges a number of different ways, but by getting them the hard way will be alot more helpful on the battlefield....

I don't know about you, but I consider an aircraft taking down 10-40 targets made up of infantry, armors, and aircrafts to be more helpful than an infantryman taking out 40 infantry + light targets. Of course, infantry would take flags along the way, so I believe whether the value of infantry or vehicle that gets the same "class" badge will depend on the actions and circumstances.

Actually I have LOST ALL Respect in those going after the Explosive Badges JIHAD style.

don't know how many suicide car bombers have flooded the game lately working to get their higher explosive badges and it's annoying.

Played 1 match where this 1 player was Constantly running his jeep into vehicles blowing everything up including himself. He had a -36 teamscore,
-34 Kills by doing so then near the end of the game celebrated getting his Vet Explosive badge.

oh poor him, 3 more kills by explosive he would gotten the Expert Explosive Ordinance badge.

Well, I got the Expert Explosive Ordinance Badge by going kamikaze vehicles too, and I have gained respect for any of those who hold the badge. This is because the day I started getting the Veteran/Explert Explosive badges to the day I earned them, I accumulated 400 deaths, 230 being suicide. All that in just 2 days...

                        Because of that, I had two guys of accusing me of team-switching by suicide to get the WCR >_>;

This badge (EEOB) replaced the Expert Knife Badge as being the most fustrating badge to get.
