Ahh! I used to have Falcon 3.0, what a GREAT game! Got boring at times... just flying a CAP in accelerated time on autopilot got a little old sometimes, but engagements and instant action were fun. The assortment of aircraft and vehicles was impressive too.LOL @ DOS 5.0 required. Ahh memories!

LOL you just described how i "played" F3 and F4. Use to turn on Autopilot and watch the action. I'm funny about flight sims. I love to play them but hate learning em.

One of my favorite games of all time is Strike Commander...i still say one liners from that game when i'm playing BF2.

I know graphics don't make a game but they look really, really poor.

I have it, I play all high AA on x6 and it looks better than the screentshots but the ground does not have alot of detail.

Falcon 4.0 graphics are no better than the 3.0, btw for those who say Lock on's graphics are poor, think again, it takes a 7800GTX to run at high at decent fps, its not in the texture quality, or how much polygons the models have, but how mutch data it holds per map, there is this mission that you have to fly over this whole city with buildings everywhere, civilian traffic and more than 100000 trees, and this game is not hard, it just takes pacience

IL-2 Sturmovik is still the best Combat Flight Sim ever. Most realistic, and best damage model.

Nothing beats World War 2.

I used to play LOMAC, but the community on Hyper Lobby is dwindling, I don't play it anymore, had to uninstall it only got a 40gb hdd, Its two years old by the way.

I play IL2 FB 4.02m, great game, shame I'm having problems with it, I fly on HL as often as I can, my name is {VoD}Enigma, look me up and we can have a game :)

I loved IL2, was really fun because it had an arcade style control scheme that you could select in the options. Though I really want to get into LOMAC, I find it really hard. How do I turn off Auto pilot? It's so hard to attack things when you have an autopilot counteracting your steering! Do I NEED a joystick for this game?

you need a joystick to really play any realistic flight simulator.

The Auto Pilot is a complete SOB, I wouldn't even go near it, and yes you'll need a joystick, I wouldn't bother with anything too fancy if this is your first outing in a flight sim, and I'd reinstall LOMAC, if there were people playing 1.02, but everyone has bought into the 1.1 FC crap, and I'm not paying extra money for an Su-25t!!!

Maybe we could set a date and all meet up on Hyperlobby?

Anyone ever play Chuck Yaegers Air combat, that was pretty good, it was more about prop planes though. P-51 what a beast :)
