In my name the §C0 deleted 3 characters from my name when i Joined a server, for my friend it delted 2.

So i had to put "§C0 " (3 spaces) for my prefix, and then it would show my full name in the server. for him of course, it was "§C0 " (2 spaces).

I dont know how it decides 2 or 3 spaces to remove.

what's ur friend's ingame name?

dammit ,this was on a hacking forum somewere and if been using this for 2 days. quite fun to fool people ur the admin to give them there vehicle :P. but i gues this is over now since its mainstream now...

goto C:\Documents and Settings\.....\My documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles and open the Global.con with notepad and put in this

GlobalSettings.setDefaultUser "0001"
GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix "§C1001"

but if u somebody join with xfire the global.con will be resetted or if u have any auto loggin in your shortcut from bf2

ok it didnt work for me, i did the exact same thing as posted. it showed some weird characters in my prefix when im in game.

So is it just C0, or is it C1001?? Either one looks like a Hex color code to me, the first being a 256 color code, and the latter a full 32-bit. You can get either color codes from the palette browser in Photoshop for example.

Edit: there are only 5 characters in the 2nd code, so it can't be 32-bit, it would have to be 16-bit.

you can fix that by making Global.con read-only.
