Bandwidth Requirements

What do you think is sufficient enough bandwidth to play BF2 on a server?

I have 256 but plant on getting 512 Kbps. I know many people's cable and dsl is well over 1 Mbps but not here where I live. I pay over $90 for this ****y cable. But I want to play online, so what do you recommend? Is 512 enough? I live in Central America, Honduras to be exact. It's just a 2.5 hour plane ride form Houston, you so can get oriented.

Thank you I wouold appreciate any help. Also I'm a noob at playing online games, so whats more optimum, a high or low ping?

It's not the Internet speec that counts but the ping.

A 20mb line with a huge ping (200+) would be worthless.

A 512Kb line with a ping of 30 would be fine.

512 can be fine, find servers near you and ull be away and playing nicely

A Low ping is always better. When your browsing for servers, sort them in Ascending Pings and look for servers with low ping (below 100)
