I was hoping someone could tell me how to get the "Welcome to duty" audio that plays at the start of the game.... Thanks

(its simple, get the bik, play it and record it with a direct source)

go to all the bf2 **** tthe go to mods/movies and it will be in there

Hmm, I might be wrong - and I'd be happy for someone to correct me if I am - but I think that particular quote is part of the audio from one of the *.bik movie files (as opposed to an isolated audio file in the *.ogg or *.wav format). The default directory for all those *.bik files (as you may already know):

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies

I haven't listened to every single sound file in the entire game but the closest I came to finding that quote in amongst the game's audio files was the English version of the various 'welcomecommander' greetings (those you hear when you assume the role of Commander in-game). A bit of editing would be required, though, because that file sounds out as "Welcome to duty, Commander," and has slightly different intonations.

Here's the relevant file name:

COMMSL_COMMANDER_welcomecommander_alt.ogg

You'll find it in Common_client.zip, which is in the Battlefield 2\mods\bf2 folder.

(Of course, it'd be a lot easier to use third-party software to record the audio from the intro. movie itself.)

Right Here... Yup I recorded it and all that for ya and put it into mp3. All Credit goes to EA and Dice and what ever woman did the voice.

aw screw it i looked at the file its a waste of time unless sum 1 actually really wants it
