Only BF2 lags/lose connection

I am having a hard time tracing this problem. I have no internet connection or router/networking issues I am aware of. I play many online multiplayer games, and only battlefield 2 is doing this to me. HL2, counter strike, DOD, call of duty 2 all run smooth no bumps no hiccups.. also my connection never drops.

Sometimes it is worse than others but it will be laggy in game, yet I have a solid and consistant 25 ping. Never spikes. It will feel very choppy, and half the time I get a connection lost to server. Sometimes it smooths out and I can actually play for a little while.

This happened about a week ago, out of nowhere, for no known reason. My system has hardly changed, and like I said no experience of any networking issues outside of battlefield 2.

Is this something someone knows about?

Well, post your specs and what settings you run the game at.

Also, make sure you have 'Cable' selected instead of 'LAN' in the general options screen of BF2 for your speed.

Also, update punkbuster by downloading THIS into your pb subdirectory in your BF2 install folder and run it.

Firstly, I know it's not my system specs, because I play about 10 brand new games all on the best quality there possibly is. I also played BF2 for over 3 months and this just started happening recently.

My specs:
AMD Athlon 3000+ Winchester @ 2.25ghz
DFI ULtra-D Lan Party Motherboard
1 GB OCZ Plat Rev2 @ 2.5.-3-3-6 1t 500 MHZ
MSI Geforce 7800 GTX @ Stock speeds (430/1200)
Maxtor Maxline3 300GB SATA-II

81.85 Forceware Drivers
Nforce 6.6.7 drivers (chipset)

Same variables and I just reformatted - only 2 weeks ago. As I said, every game I can play flawlessly at 100+ fps with absolutely no choppiness.

I beleive this has to do with 1.03 netcode and a configuration conflict/problem. I hope it gets resolved soon.

Exactly the same thing has just happened to me - All fine up to about 2 weeks ago, nothing has changed on my PC & I play many other online games on full settings:

If someone can help I'll be as greatfull as this guy ^

My specs:
Pentium P4 (3.2GHz, 2MB Cache, 800FSB)
1GB DDR2 533 Memory
80GB ATA-100 Hard Drive
ATI 9700 graphics card (256)

I have done a full re-install, turned the settings down to LOW - the game plays like a speeded up Harold Lloyd film, but there is Still some lag...

Please help!

hmm.... lag eh? i had the same problem, i had to re-install bf2 3 times, and when i updated every driver, it worked finally

did a few things which I think might have helped ... not sure which step did though still testing.

Updated to latest Nforce4 chipset drivers
Updated to latest Nvidia Geforce drivers
Reinstalled Directx 9.0c

in bf2 options:
Disabled EAX audio
Disabled VOIP

Will report more as I enable/disable things to compare gameplay quality.
